“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?” Isaiah 40:12
How awesome is the image that our Almighty God holds all the waters of the world in the palm of just one of His capable hands? So many times in our lives, Christians included, we constantly take our earthly problems out of His great hands and place the burden on our own shoulders. Honestly, how conceited are we to think that we know better than God how to handle things? With this simple scripture question we are reminded, who else could measure? Or in other words, man cannot do any of these things.
The next time we are faced with issues great or small, we should remind ourselves WHO indeed holds the waters of the world in the palm of His hands? Surely He can keep you safe in His grasp!
So when you are facing family turmoil, health concerns, financial setbacks, emotional problems, persecution, or issues that shake your faith to your very core, remember God is capable and He has a hold on you that never fails!
