Single Mom, You Are Not Alone

“Father if you are willing, remove this cup fom Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.  Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.” ~Luke 22:42-43

I keep going back to this Bible Study from last week leading up to Easter.  It’s a verse we have probably ‘read over’ in haste and missed a huge realization that lies within.  The part I’m talking about is, an angel appeared and strengthened Him.  One angel’s strength is all it took to strengthen Christ, to fortify Him to endure the weight of guilt of the world.

What an amazing power that even just one angel has.  And how much more great is the power of Christ within you if you’re a Christian.

He stretched out His arms in a gesture of incomprehensible love.  This is the kind of love that will never leave you alone.  For those of you that are single moms out there, I want to encourage you today.

The Father God is your Provider and Protector.  The Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf to the Father even when you don’t know what to think or how to feel-the Holy Spirit in you reveals all to the Father God and He knows.  And the Savior God that is Christ has got your back.  He’s seen every sin, paid every cost, made all the arrangements, and taken care of every concern so you could live freely forever with Him.  You are not alone!

Dearly loved,

I know sometimes it doesn’t seem fair, much less real.  How is it possible that someone could be that mean?  How you could hurt so much?  How can so many difficult things just keep happening and no matter how hard you try, you are drowning, losing yourself a little more?  You feel more than tired.

Something inside you keeps you hanging on but you aren’t even sure why.  You know it can be better, HAS to be better, but you feel so bad inside you don’t know how or where or why you should start.  You can’t see the way out.

I have the key.  It’s simple, you might even think it ridiculous, but in your position you should know how even simple things matter.  You just turn.  In your mind, in your heart and in your spirit, turn, one new thought, give yourself a reason to believe that one thing that keeps hanging on in what’s left of your spirit, and don’t let go with all your might.  Let that one thing be your focus no matter what happens, whenever something bad happens, don’t let go of it.  I know.  I’ve been there.  Don’t believe me?  Let me tell you…..

I have been tempted by the devil and overcome by the power of my Father.  In the Word it says, “If you resist the devil, he will flee.”

I have been mocked, scorn and persecuted for my faith.  In the Word it says, “Blessed are the humble at heart for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.”

I have been beaten, abused, abandoned and all the hate of the world on my shoulders to the point that my Father Himself turned his back on me.  In the Word it says, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?”

I have been through the valley of the shadow of death.  I have dwelt in darkness.  I have seen firsthand the hate of the world.  I have born the stripes and hung with thirst at the mercy of man.  I have been where you have. And I can tell you this, Our Father reigns.  We win and the Crown of Life awaits us in Heaven.  The Word says, “Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

I know each hair on your head.  I knew you in the womb.  I have forgiven and forgotten your past.  I came to give you abundant life full of hope, joy and love.  I suffered on the cross so you would not have to die, so that when all is said and done I could be with you, my dearly loved one, for eternity in Heaven.  Turn to me and I will give you rest.

Love, Jesus
